Conditions We Treat in Hyderabad
CNR is a 50-bed neuro rehabilitation hospital with an in-house ICU. These are the conditions our specialist team treats every day, grouped by the kind of recovery each one needs.
CNR Crystal Neuro Rehabilitation Centre
Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad · Open 24 hours
Stroke and paralysis
The largest group of patients admitted to CNR. Recovery depends on starting structured therapy early and keeping it intensive through the first months, when the brain is most able to rewire.
Stroke Rehabilitation
Inpatient and outpatient stroke recovery: walking, arm and hand function, speech and swallowing, with ICU cover on site.
Read moreParalysis Rehabilitation
Hemiplegia, paraplegia and quadriplegia after stroke, injury or surgery, with a plan built around the pattern of weakness.
Read moreBalance & Gait Training
Retraining safe walking and reducing falls for patients whose balance has been affected by a neurological condition.
Read moreBrain and spinal cord injury
Patients often come to CNR straight from a neurosurgery or trauma ward, still medically fragile. Having an ICU and HDU in the same building means rehabilitation can start before they are fully stable.
Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation
From low-arousal states through to regaining memory, attention, movement and independence after a head injury.

Mobility, transfers, wheelchair skills, bladder, bowel and pressure-area care after complete or incomplete injury.
Read morePost-Surgical Neuro Recovery
Early mobilisation and step-down care after brain or spine surgery, bridging the gap between the operating hospital and home.
Read moreProgressive neurological conditions
These conditions are managed rather than cured. The aim of therapy is to protect function, independence and quality of life for as long as possible, and to support the family alongside the patient.
Parkinson's Disease Care
Movement-focused physiotherapy, cueing strategies, speech and swallow support and falls prevention.

Managing fatigue, spasticity, balance and weakness through relapses and remission.
Read moreDementia & Alzheimer's Care
Supervised care, cognitive stimulation and behavioural support, with respite for families.
Read moreThinking, communication and swallowing
Often the least visible effects of a neurological illness, and the ones families find hardest to manage at home.
Children and older adults
Two groups whose rehabilitation needs are different enough to need their own approach.
Paediatric Neuro Rehabilitation
Developmental and neurological therapy for children, with parents involved in every session.

Goal-based physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy to build independence at each stage of growth.

Many patients have more than one of these at once. Our team will assess your family member and recommend a plan, whether that means inpatient rehabilitation, neuro physiotherapy or a mix of services. Our checklist for choosing a rehabilitation centre may help. You can also read about our facilities and the Kukatpally branch opening in November 2026.
Conditions We Treat, FAQs
Which conditions does CNR treat?
CNR treats stroke, paralysis, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, post-surgical neuro recovery, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia and Alzheimer's, cerebral palsy, cognitive and speech or swallowing problems, balance and gait disorders, and age-related loss of mobility.
Does my family member need inpatient rehabilitation or outpatient therapy?
Inpatient care suits patients who still need medical or nursing supervision, cannot yet manage safely at home, or need several hours of therapy a day. Outpatient therapy suits patients who are medically stable and can travel. CNR assesses each patient and recommends one or the other; see our inpatient rehabilitation page for more.
Can a patient come to CNR directly from another hospital’s ICU?
Yes. CNR has its own ICU and HDU, so patients who are not yet fully stable can be transferred and begin rehabilitation under critical-care cover. Our team coordinates with the discharging hospital.
Is there a CNR branch in west Hyderabad?
A second CNR branch is opening in Kukatpally / KPHB in November 2026. Until then, patients from across Hyderabad are admitted at the Dilsukhnagar centre.
